The F:Entrepreneur #Ialso100 list was announced today and I’m very excited to tell you that I made it!
The f:Entrepreneur campaign launched on International Women’s Day 2017. It is a campaign to highlight, celebrate and promote incredible female entrepreneurs and share their stories with the wider community.
I was encouraged to apply to be considered for this list by Nic Till of Riverhead Coffee and I’m so pleased that I did. I’m in great company too with other local business women, Ruchita Green and Liz Drury also making top spots!
The campaign recognises business owners who wear a multitude of ‘hats’ and I can be seen sporting a variety on a daily basis. As well as being a maker, I also (you can see how the name came about) work within Project Development for local Community Centre, Welholme Works in Grimsby. I work on social media and within the centre to make sure that we offer a range of activities and workshops. I’m passionate about supporting local and we work with local experts in their own fields to deliver quality sessions to our community.
When I applied for consideration of being included, It Started With a Stitch, the shop was still a pipe dream and I had no idea that it would have become a reality before the end of 2020! It Started With a Stitch, the shop started off as a place that showcased 30 independent businesses and since opening back in October 2020, I’ve grown that to over 40!
I can’t think of a better way to start 2021 and I’m super excited to see where this leads and what happens next!
The F:Entrepreneur #Ialso100 will run again for 2020 so why not look out for applications for next year and get involved.
