Hands up if this lock down has got you crafting more than you were before! Want some free crochet tutorials to help?
Whilst we might be feeling a little bit like hermits right now, it really is the perfect time to focus on a hobby. I’ve spoken to people who are key workers that are out fighting the good fight on a daily basis and need something to try and take their mind off what they are dealing with. I’ve also spoken to those of us who are now spending 99% of our time, if not 100% of our time now under our own roof and what might seem like 4 very small walls. I’ve decided that I can help by providing free crochet tutorials.
I can’t save lives, I’m rubbish in a medical emergency but what I can do is hopefully help you out with some extra crafting know how. During lock down and probably after it’s finished, I’ll be delivering free online sessions with the aim of helping you learn a new craft skill. Crochet, Embroidery, Pompoms, Punch Needle, the list is growing every time I host a session!
This morning I showed you how to use double crochet to join together solid granny squares, something that I showed you how to make last week. If you’d like to take a look at any of the tutorials then they are all uploaded to The Craft Hub straight away after the live has finished. They’re not edited, there’s no special effects. They seem to be lasting about an hour – so why not head over and have a go at one of them? I’d love to see how you get on so please so send me your pics or use the hashtag #itstartedwithastitcher so that I can easily find you!
If you’ve got any suggestions for crafts that you’d like more info about or ideas for more free crochet tutorials then let me know and I’ll see what I can do!
